Enhancing Patient Comfort While Reducing Radiation Exposure: Advanced imaging renders an expert diagnosis by sub-specialty radiologists.
For Immediate Release
Advanced imaging renders an expert diagnosis by sub-specialty radiologists. Tower Radiology Center – South Tampa is proud to announce the addition of our new Siemens 16-Slice CT scanner to our list of high performance modalities. This new CT scanner will improve diagnosis and treatment of patients at our South Tampa Center. The upgrade provides the finest image quality while reducing radiation exposure to the patient. Its innovative design provides optimal patient comfort by eliminating the closed-in feeling which patients sometimes associate with CT scanning.
“Our new CT scanner provides outstanding diagnostic information by enabling us to perform Multi-Slice CT on a routine basis,” said Bharat U. Patel, MD. “For example, we can now scan patients in a single-breath hold, which results in more accurate diagnosis, while also reducing examination time and increasing patient comfort. It allows us to take care of our patients in the best way.”
The innovative design of this CT scanner provides a completely open environment, eliminating the closed-in feeling sometimes associated with CT. System speed and reliability mean the patient spends a fraction of the time in the scanner and less time waiting for results. Tower’s new CT scanner provides the finest images for a more accurate diagnosis with low radiation dose.
